The Equipment and Tool Institute (ETI) dates back to 1941. ETI grew out of the American experiences of WW2, understanding the need for tools and equipment to rapidly and efficiently move supplies. During the war, President FDR established the War Production Board to supervise war production. This board gathered equipment and tool manufacturers from across the United States to serve as an advisory council on key war related issues. After the war, 62 manufacturers banded together to continue working to better the industry as a whole. Why not keep a good thing going? ETI celebrated it's 75th anniversary in 2022 with an impressive group of over 95 member companies working together to navigate and influence the ever changing automotive aftermarket industry.
